Credit scores in India run from 300 to 900. Drag the slider to any score and see exactly what it means — and which loans and cards you can expect to qualify for.
Approvals are very hard. Most lenders reject or offer only secured products. Focus on clearing dues and building a clean repayment record.
Some lenders may approve, but at high interest rates and lower limits. Improving even 50 points opens far better offers.
You'll get approved by most lenders at average rates. A push to 750+ unlocks premium cards and the lowest interest.
Strong profile. You qualify for good rates and most cards. Lenders see you as low risk.
You get the best rates, high limits and quick approvals. Pre-approved offers start coming to you.
Top tier. Lenders compete for you with their lowest rates, premium cards and instant approvals.
All four major bureaus — CIBIL (TransUnion), Experian, Equifax and CRIF High Mark — use a 300 to 900 scale. The higher your number, the lower the risk you represent to a lender, and the better the terms you're offered.
There's no single "pass mark," but most lenders treat 750 and above as the threshold for their best offers. Between 650 and 749 you'll usually still get approved, just not at the sharpest rates. Below 650, approvals get harder and rates climb steeply.
The difference between a 690 and a 760 score can mean a personal loan that's 2–4% cheaper. On a ₹5 lakh loan over 5 years, that's tens of thousands of rupees saved. It's worth knowing precisely where you stand before you apply — use our free score check.
